Longview Avenue was established in 1911 and lots were being sold.  Residential development on Longview Avenue in the Hollywood Dell as early as 1915.  The street runs only from Ivar Avenue to Vine Street and there are only a few properties on it.  Notables who lived on the street included cameraman Ira Morgan, actress Brenda Bakke, and photographer Herman Schultheis.
